About the Author
Wayne Au, a former public high school social studies and language arts teacher, is an Assistant Professor in the Education Program at the University of Washington, Bothell Campus. He is editor of Rethinking Multicultural Education: Teaching for Racial and Cultural Justice, co-editor of Rethinking Our Classrooms Volume 1 (Revised and Expanded Edition), and writes regularly for Rethinking Schools. Wayne is also author and editor of many academic articles and books, and his most recent book, Critical Curriculum Studies: Curriculum, Consciousness, and the Politics of Knowing, was published by Routledge in 2011.

Don't waste your money.

I had to buy this book for a multicultural class and hated it. Almost all the contributing authors were anti-american and blamed America for all the problems we all struggle with. I've been on Mission trips to other countries and while in the Navy I visited 17 countries and territories and most of the people loved America and Americans. After reading this book they would hate America and what it stands for. Liberty for all.
